My Soapbox

This is on my mind....

Who do we think we are? NO really, who do we think we are? It seems to me that pride sneaks in on well meaning people. Church people care so much more about the color of the carpet, then the content of the sermon. I get so tired of hearing people complain about things that don't really matter. NEWSFLASH: TO THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN WHETHER OR NOT YOU ARE COMFORTABLE IN CHURCH DOES NOT MATTER. There are believers worshipping in situations of torture all over the world. (America is not the center of the universe). IT IS NOT ABOUT YOU ...OR ME..it is about JESUS and bringing Him Glory. Are you willing to die for your commitment to Jesus? Really, then Are you willing to live for Him? Walk WORTHY OF YOUR CALLING...worthy walking is not PLAYING CHURCH.... like we own it... Worthy walking is full of humility and service and LOVE...and respect..not grumbling, backbiting, and bitter feuds.... FORGIVE...be gracious...live and let live... LOVE ....

AND one more thing....

Why is it that it is hard to talk about the LOVE of the Word of God and Jesus at church?...hmmm makes me wonder...

I know this is not new under the sun as The Lord tells us in Ecclesiastes that NOTHING IS NEW UNDER THE SUN...and I remind myself of the wheat and the tares all the time... I just wonder sometimes if we get too comfortable that we forget we are slaves of Christ... we are HIS. We are not our own...Joy is found in losing ourselves. The Gospel is giving up your rights and your plans to take on His Life ~ His Will ... take up your cross (your "death to your own desires") and follow Him to find real life...

REAL JOY
